This webinar will provide an overview of preservation concepts and the emergency preparedness cycle as they apply to cultural heritage collections. The presenter will teach the use of risk assessment as a tool for preparedness and provide resources for disaster prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery. A digital handout listing these resources will be included.

This webinar is being presented in partnership with the Northeast Document Conservation Center (NEDCC). NEDCC’s Preservation Services department has been offering training and outreach on cultural heritage preservation for 40 years. Our team comprises libraries, archives, and museum professionals who work with institutions to care for their collections and prepare for the future.
