WHAT IS EDEN
The Extension Disaster Education Network (EDEN) is a collaborative multi-state effort by Cooperative Extension Services across the country to improve the delivery of services to citizens affected by disasters. EDEN’s mission is to reduce the impact of disasters through research-based education.
2026 EDEN Spring Training
February 24-26, 2026
Tampa, Florida
Once a year, EDEN delegates assemble at the EDEN Annual Meeting to share best practices, developing research, showcase projects that have been completed throughout the year, and enhance skill-sets through professional development opportunities. The four-day Annual Meeting rotates by region, and is hosted in a location that offers delegates the ability to learn about diverse emergency preparedness issues facing the local community.
Traditionally, the conference is held in October. Beginning in 2026, the conference will shift to spring.
We Are Extension
The Extension Disaster Education Network (EDEN) is made possible by USDA NIFA and our participating USDA Cooperative Extension and NOAA Sea Grant Extension programs. Over 300 delegates representing over 75 disciplines at 77 state Extension programs in 50 states and 3 US territories.
