Biography

My name is Madison Pigg and I am the Disaster District 11 DAR Specialist with my headquarters being out of Waco, TX. I graduated from Texas A&M University in May of 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Communications & Journalism & Horticulture. I began working with DAR in June of 2024. I grew up in a ranching and farming community and I helped fight several wildfires on my father’s ranch. My jobs included cutting fence for livestock evacuation, hauling water/ supplies, and moving equipment. I then volunteered at several natural disasters in the Texas panhandle that affected communities close to mine. I knew I wanted to go into this line of work because I felt the call to serve those in these events. I am looking forward to getting involved in EDEN.
