Biography

Laurie Wolinski is an Agriculture Extension Agent and the Director of the Northeast Extension Risk Management Education Center (NERME), at the University of Delaware. Laurie holds a Master of Science from the University of Delaware in Agricultural Economics. Laurie works in Delaware Cooperative Extension in the areas of agricultural risk management including women in agriculture programs, health care literacy, farm resiliency, farm transition and farm business planning. NERME, one of four regional Extension Risk Management Education (ERME) Centers across the country, is funded through the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA). As Director, she oversees and monitors the USDA-NIFA Prime Awards – approximately $1,752,000 annually. Prior to being named Director, Laurie served as the Center’s Associate Director.
