PARTNERS
EDEN has formal relationships with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), through its National Institutes of Food and Agriculture (NIFA, formerly CSREES), and with the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Sea Grant Program (NOAA SeaGrant).
EDEN signed its first non-governmental partnership agreement in March 2011, with the National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters (National VOAD).
In addition to the formal relationships with USDA and NOAA, EDEN enjoys participation in the network by representatives of agencies who work to reduce the impact of disasters. The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has worked closely with EDEN’s agrosecurity committee for a number of years.
Governmental and nongovernmental agencies who would like to explore joining forces with EDEN should contact one of the officers or anyone on the EDEN Executive committee.
