Biography

Ali Gotcher is an Extension Agent covering Northwest Alabama in the area of Animal Science and Forages. Ali came to Alabama from Texas A&M University where she completed a Bachelors and master’s in animal science. She has a strong cattle and beef background from growing up on her family’s cow/calf operation outside of Fort Worth. She was heavily involved in FFA in high school and not only showed Red Angus heifers but market lambs as well. She joined the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association staff as Director of Education and Outreach in June of 2018 and worked with the ACA for almost five years. She was the Beef 101 coordinator at Auburn, marketing director for October Beef Month, and worked with foodservice and retail companies on beef promotion opportunities. As an Extension Agent she also holds the title of Beef Quality Assurance Co-Coordinator for the state of Alabama.
