Biography
Angie B. Lindsey is an assistant professor in the Department of Family, Youth and Community Sciences working within the UF/IFAS Center for Public Issues Education in Agriculture and Natural Resources (PIE Center). Angie currently serves at the Point of Contact for the Extension Disaster Education Network (EDEN) for UF/IFAS. Her research and Extension work focus on disaster preparedness and recovery within communities, particularly looking at crisis communication efforts before, during, and after disasters. Prior to the University of Florida, Angie served as Executive Director of the North Florida Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. She also served as the marketing and communications manager at the Jacksonville Zoo, where she was on the disaster team and wrote all disaster plans for the Zoo. Angie earned her masters and doctorate degrees from the University of Florida and her bachelor’s degree from the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC.
