Biography
Dr. AG Tribble attended Emory University in Atlanta, GA and earned the following: a PhD in Biocultural Medical Anthropology, an MPH in Epidemiology and Global Health, and a Certificate in Complex Humanitarian Emergencies. Throughout her past work, she has conducted research in a variety of acute and long-term disaster contexts in the Middle East, South Asia, and the United States (Mississippi). Her topical areas of work include food aid and assistance programs, water insecurity, and rural health systems and care delivery. She has authored a curriculum to support high school health science teachers’ instruction on infectious diseases. She is currently working with a tornado-impacted and flood-prone rural community hospital to learn about their disaster experiences and build a community engaged curriculum that can help other local rural hospitals learn how to better protect themselves when living in areas prone to tornadoes and/or floods. I am in the process of working towards completion of key FEMA courses.
