Biography
Glenda serves four counties in Central Oregon. Programming includes Food Safety and Preservation (workshops, Master Food Preserver Volunteers, Ask an Expert, Facebook, Preserve @ Home – Oregon and statewide surveys) and Safety and Accidental Injury Prevention (Preparing for the Cascadia Subduction Zone Event, Stress Less with Mindfulness, QPR Suicide Prevention). Glenda serves as the Co-PI for the NIFA Special Needs Competitive Grant to develop awareness and preparedness for the CSZ through an online learning system. The modules are available to view at https://beav.es/Cascadia. She has co-authored several publications for the Creating a Culture of Preparedness series that supports the course. She recently published Improving Indoor Air Quality from Wildfire Smoke during COVID-19. Earlier she worked with a team to add adult resources in farm/commercial settings and update youth class/camp resources in the High Speed Hand Washing materials with COVID-19 precautions at https://beav.es/HighSpeedHandWashing. She is a member of the OSU Extension Diversity Champions.
