Biography
Heather Kolich has served as the UGA County Extension Coordinator and Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent in Forsyth County since 2014. She helped develop a UGA/OSHA training program for chainsaw safety in storm damage clean-up emergencies after the 2018 hurricanes that devastated parts of Georgia, North and South Carolina. She has been trained in emergency poultry mortality composting and serves in an advisory role. Ms. Kolich has also incorporated small farm safety training into new farmer training programs and biosecurity principles into backyard poultry classes. She is a participating member of the Forsyth County Emergency Management Team and was recently appointed as the Northwest District leader for the newly-formed UGA Extension Emergency Preparedness Team.
