Biography
Dr. Rankin taught Ag Emergency Preparedness for 11 years through MSU facilitating the EDEN Strengthening Community Agro-Preparedness curriculum in over 30 of 56 Montana counties. Utilizing her experiences as a private veterinarian and state animal health official she created the “Rolling Cows and Pigs” functional exercise training livestock producers and first responders to humanely evacuate livestock during a transportation crash. Highlights of EDEN membership is assisting in the creation of the FEMA virtual agriculture table-top exercises through the exercise subcommittee of the Ag and Natural Resource Committee. Dr. Rankin continues to be a resource for Animal and Ag Emergency preparedness and response for veterinarians, producers, industry and government officials.
