Biography
Joey Peutz, is an Extension professor for University of Idaho Extension. She has spent her career working on behalf of youth and families. She serves as the Payette County chair as she develops, teaches and evaluates nutrition and food safety programs for adults and children in Payette County and a nine-county district. She currently administers the Eat Smart Idaho program in the Treasure Valley area. This program focuses on helping limited resource adults learn how to stretch their food dollars and to provide tasty, low-cost, healthy meals for their families. She educates, supports and recognizes Master Food Safety Advisor volunteers throughout the district. Her work in 4-H Youth Development focuses on the local county program, state programs and the Idaho 4-H Endowment. Joey’s research and outreach interests include adult learning, community food safety, food security and access, and technology in education and safety.
