Biography


JoLynn is an Area Director and 4-H Youth Development Advisor covering four counties in the Central Sierra region of California. She earned her BS in Agriculture Education from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and her MS in Agriculture Education and Extension from Montana State, Bozeman. Prior to coming back to California, JoLynn worked for Montana 4-H in delivering the Operation Military Kids, Military Kids Club programs, and 4-H Mentoring. She’s been with UC Cooperative Extension since 2012 and has focused her efforts over the years on various programming including volunteer development, leading the multi-state Youth Retention Study, and working with youth involved in the juvenile justice system. When she isn’t working, she spends her time with animals on her hobby farm which includes a horse, mini-donkey, three goats, 15 chickens, two dogs, a cat, and a mini-pig. She also rides her horse with a group called the Twain Harte Horseman and is the founder and president of a local 502 (c) 3 nonprofit called Evacuation of Livestock in Tuolumne Emergencies (Team ELITE).
