Biography
As an extension educator, Katie looks to create, deliver, and evaluate local and statewide communication strategies and innovative educational programs that meet current and projected outreach needs related to small and medium-sized livestock producers, regarding management practices, biosecurity, and zoonotic disease mitigation. Katie also works with producers and land owners to address disease and biosecurity issues for domestic livestock and various wildlife species.
Katie has been extensively involved in youth livestock programs and assisting fairs develop animal health plans that outline steps to take in case of an animal disease outbreak during a fair or exhibition.
