Biography
Krystle J. Allen is an Extension Associate with the Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Center (SUAREC) and a Doctoral Candidate in Agricultural and Extension Education and Evaluation (AEEE) at Louisiana State University. In her role, she provides educational resources, programs and assistance to the citizens of Louisiana in emergency preparedness, coordinates and supports extension programs and activities, participates in program planning committees, collaborates with outside agencies to build strong partnerships, grant-writing, etc. Working in extension for a little over six (6) years, Krystle finds joy in helping underserved communities. Krystle obtained her Master’s degrees in Public Administration (2011) and Leadership Development (2013) from Louisiana State University (LSU). Outside of the office, Krystle is a wife and mother of three (Xavier, 10, Jayden, 8, and Xyla, 1), a small business owner, an avid researcher, Southern University alumna/ proud supporter (Go Jags!), and an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
