Biography

I currently serve as the County Extension Director and Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Agent, where I lead efforts to support community health, wellness, and resilience. Over the years, I’ve played an active role in disaster education and emergency response, serving as the Situation Unit Leader on the Osceola County Planning Action Team and now as part of the Agricultural Unit for Flagler County’s emergency operations.

To strengthen my effectiveness in emergency management, I’ve completed several FEMA and ICS trainings, including IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800, IS-2200, L-948 (Situational Awareness and Common Operating Picture), G-300, G-400, and the Integrated Emergency Management Course (E0930) – Osceola Community Specific at the Emergency Management Institute. In addition, I am certified as a Mental Health First Aid Trainer and a Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR) Suicide Prevention Trainer.

These experiences have prepared me to support both immediate response efforts and long-term recovery strategies, while also promoting mental wellness and community resilience before, during, and after emergencies.
