Biography
Matt is a native Californian who serves as a 4-H Youth Development Advisor for the University of California’s Cooperative Extension in northern California (Nevada, Placer, Sutter, and Yuba counties). As a 4-H advisor, Matt provides volunteer trainings (e.g. Youth Mental Health First Aid) and 4-H youth educational programs in the community. He works closely with 4-H clubs, schools, and other youth development organizations to ensure our young people have access to 4-H programs and leadership opportunities. In his role, Matt co-chairs the following: Developing Volunteer Capacities, Thriving Youth, and Volunteer Development Advisory Committee. He is also an EDEN mini-grant recipient.
Personally, Matt and his wife have two thriving adolescents and enjoy spending time together as a family. Matt’s roots come from a multicultural family and loves meeting people from different cultures and backgrounds.
