Biography
McKayla Robinette grew up on a century farm in eastern North Carolina, where she raises grass-fed beef with her family. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies with concentrations in Sustainable Agriculture and Pre-Law from Brevard College in 2020 and graduated with distinction from Auburn University with a Master of Science in Rural Sociology in 2022. She is a doctoral candidate at Walden University pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration.
Using her background in production agriculture and extensive work with farmers, McKayla aims to provide clarity and guidance to help farming families navigate challenges and find freedom and success through action. McKayla serves as Coordinator for the NC Agromedicine Institute’s Farm and Ranch Stress Assistance Network (FRSAN-NC) program, which helps farmers, farmworkers, and their families navigate stressors and trials that arise from being in agriculture.
