Biography

Nicholas Shanahan is the Associate Director of the Institute for Climate and Community Resilience (ICCR) at the University of Tennessee, where he leads efforts to advance community-driven approaches to disaster resilience. His work focuses on strengthening partnerships between researchers, practitioners, and communities across Tennessee and the broader Central Appalachian region to address increasing risks from flooding, wildfire, and other climate-related hazards.
