Biography

Rachel Snoddy has over 14 years of experience in education, community development, and building partnerships while working with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System. Rachel started with Extension as a 4-H agent but has served as a County Extension Director since 2019. She has built relationships with local school systems, civic groups, elected officials, and many people in the community through Extension’s educational programs and community development projects. She also assesses community needs and coordinates Extension programs to meet those needs. Since stepping into the County Extension Director role, Rachel joined Auburn University’s Rural Health Initiative team, which started the Chambers County Community Health and Wellness Center in LaFayette. She serves as one of the team members over center operations. This center houses the OnMed telehealth station and clinic space for Auburn University faculty and students to hold various health screenings, vaccination clinics, and health education programs.
