Registration is Now Open for the 2027 EDEN Annual Conference

July 16, 2026/in EDEN Annual Meeting

Registration is officially open for the 2027 EDEN Annual Conference, taking place March 9–12, 2027, in Lexington, Kentucky. Hosted by the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment at the University of Kentucky in partnership with Kentucky State University, this year’s conference will bring together Extension professionals from across the country to share innovative approaches to disaster preparedness, resilience, and community recovery.

Register early to save with discounted pricing:

  • Early Bird Registration: $600 (through December 4, 2026)
  • Standard Registration: $650 (beginning December 5, 2026)

Attendees can also enhance their conference experience with optional educational opportunities:

  • Educational Mobile Workshop (Tuesday): $95
  • In-depth Friday Train-the-Trainer Workshop: $65

The conference will feature keynote presentations, concurrent educational sessions, poster presentations, business meetings, networking opportunities, and two exclusive educational mobile workshops showcasing Kentucky’s unique approach to disaster resilience.

Choose from two immersive workshop experiences:

  • Lexington Area: Explore Keeneland Racetrack and Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill while learning about emergency preparedness, operational resilience, and historic preservation.
  • Louisville Area: Visit Churchill Downs and Buffalo Trace Distillery to examine large-event emergency management, operational continuity, and lessons learned from the distillery’s historic flood response.

On Friday, participants can attend the interactive Train-the-Trainer session, Disasters Don’t Stand a Chance: Gamifying Preparedness Tools for Extension. This hands-on workshop equips participants to bring an engaging disaster preparedness board game back to their own communities, complete with a take-home game set.

Educational mobile workshops are limited to 50 participants each, so early registration is encouraged.
