September 22nd, 2021

Extension professionals understand the uniqueness of their relationships with their clientele. They can use this relationship to help community members deal with the stresses resulting from unexpected events.

“Disaster stress” involves all of Extension’s clientele and colleagues. As Extension professionals, preparing ourselves now, and learning the skills to help others with the sudden increase of stress resulting from a disaster, is beneficial both to the Extension Service and the communities we serve.

The purpose of this EDEN training series is to enable you, the Extension professional, to provide basic care, comfort, and support to your clientele and colleagues who are experiencing disaster related stress.
