Disaster Animal Shelter Management (Ag Based) – VTTX
June 21, 2016
EDEN’s Exercise Committee has worked closely with FEMA’s Emergency Management Institute (EMI) to develop virtual table top exercises (VTTXs) that the institute uses as components of its ongoing virtual training program.
The first series focused on Disaster Animal Shelter Management before, during and after an all-hazard event. This virtual exercise is designed to enhance participant’s knowledge, skills and abilities; enable participants to better coordinate their response operation with that of other response organizations; and, allow participating locations to share real-time preparation, response and recovery solutions. The VTTX program is designed for a “community-based” group (not individual participation) of at least 10 or more personnel from local or state emergency management organizations with representation from all emergency management disciplines.
Contact the Exercise Committee for further insights.
